Hi Everyone! Thank you for stopping by! After a long hiatus, I am starting my art business again so I
REALLY appreciate seeing YOU here.

I feel so blessed to be given this second chance to put my artwork and insights into the world that I decided to email everyone who subscribes to my blog a digital copy of my sweet little (approximately) 5” x 7” watercolor sketch “If Blessings Were Balloons” to download and enjoy.
Hint for printing the email download: Because this is a watercolor/pencil sketch with delicate lines/colors, the best results will be obtained by printing on glossy photo paper.

By subscribing you will receive an email in your mailbox every time I post a new blog, probably about once a week, and every now and then a gift to download!   YEA for Free Stuff!!!

This blog will evolve over time and will contain photos of my work- in-progress, finished pieces, helpful art tips, upcoming events, and life insights.  Hope you come on this journey with me!  It promises to be quite a ride!

I do abstract and realistic work and sometimes a blend of both. I do have a web site that is EXTREMELY out of date but if you want to see what I used to do, before it is replaced by a sparkling new version with all new artwork have a look at www.charyll.com before it goes bye-bye into cyber space.

Below is a pastel painting I did last weekend.  As you can see it is still on my paint board because being pastel it needs to be sprayed with a fixative. Have not gotten around to that yet...busy writing this blog!  Pastels are like cat fur in that they will rub off on everything unless the pastels are set with fixative. Too bad I cannot use fixative on my cat. (Come on....just kidding. I love my cat).

Currently working on a dog portrait that I hope to share next week along with anything else that jumps off my drawing board.  Until then, xxoo and many blessings to you and yours!
